Sometimes I have to be honest and realize the reason I am fighting change is that it is asking something from me I am not willing to give up. Change brings outward alterations but its true cost is the inward changes it demands. Change in a job, family, ministry, circumstance, will cause you to have to adjust, grow, release, surrender. It will ask you to be patient, mindful, willing and humble. If we want to always be in control, then we will always recent and be suspicious of change. But beware resisting change and staying in control can also mean you are building the walls of your own confinement and containment. When our insecurities lead, they will often fossilize the future, judging something unnecessary that often with time proves invaluable. I don’t always embrace change, but I have learned to allow it to work its course and instead of dreading what it may bring I have determined to allow it to do a deeper work within me. Changing from the inside, allows you to keep playing a part in the growth around you. So today stop resisting what maybe God’s asking you to start assisting.
