Being Content In Your Season
When you’re in a season, it’s good to learn to not get stuck in an attitude of wishing and wanting and whining, and instead practice being committed, faithful, and grateful where God has planted us right now. It’s so easy to look at someone else’s journey and wish we had what they had, but wishing and whining isn’t an attractive attitude. Instead, keep a right heart, enjoy the season where we are today… live, obey, believe, love, have fun, serve, learn, grow… Right here. Right now.
You might be looking ahead to what’s next, and possibly you’ve been waiting a while… waiting for a spouse… for a baby… for a promotion… for a ministry opening… for a new home… for a big break… for retirement… for a date… for something (anything!) to change… and most likely, God does have that in store for you. He is a good God, and he wants to give us the desires of our heart, but inevitably there will be seasons where we feel stuck. Don’t resent seasons like this. See the good God HAS put in our lives, the God moments He has orchestrated even here, now. Take hold of what God may be wanting to do in and through us to prepare us for the season that lies ahead.
There are things God has for us to do, learn, and experience now that is as much a part of our story as the thing we’re holding out for. Rather than finding discontent in the place we find ourselves, speak words of life over our future, and declare His promises over our life and the future and destiny He has purposed for us.

Click To TweetAnd for those who are currently in a season that is not a good one, not a season to enjoy, just remember this: it is just a season. A better day is coming. God is with you in the midst of this dark time, and that, my friend, is absolutely something to praise Him for.
There’s so much life to come as we live within the sphere of grace He has for us in the season we’re in today. As we stay grateful, expectant, and obedient in this place right now, He won’t let us down. Don’t lose heart, things can change overnight… and hallelujah, the best is always yet to come.
